Collection: Potholder Patterns

Most of my potholder patterns prior to 2025 have been moved from Bella's Flock (where I used to work) to this site. If there is a past free pattern of mine that you are looking for and don't see it, please let me know and I'll either get it added, or send it to you individually if I don't plan to add it to this site. 

General notes for most potholder patterns (uness there are alternate instructions for a specific technique):

• Start by putting all the vertical loops on the loom. Some patterns will indicate different colors. 
• Weave the horizontal loops from the bottom or top, left or right (whatever is most comfortable and makes sense to you).
• Use the long hook that came with your loom, or just your fingers, or a bendy hair clip or safety pin (I prefer a hair clip).
• [-] means the horizontal loop goes over the vertical loop or loops ([ - - - ] means over 3) and [ | ] means the horizontal loop goes under the vertical loop or loops.
• The direction of the line on the pattern is the direction of the loop you see on top at that place.
