Hi, I'm Angela

Angela with hand dyed potholder loops

I was born and raised in Tasmania, the island state of Australia, and now dye, weave, and craft on the family farm in rural Buffalo, Minnesota.

My art is rooted in my love of color and texture and the joy of following where the fiber takes me.

I am intentional about minimizing textile waste, which has influenced the evolution of my weaving process, from reclaiming and dying cotton yarns, to techniques for eliminating loom waste, to saving every scrappy thread and yarn trimming to incorporate into handspun yarns.

Freestyle weaving and wearable art led me to explore dyeing a variety of fibers, fabric, and clothing, and my time with a local fiber arts store brought me back to focus on dyeing fibers for small-loom weaving.

I'm also a mom to 3 grown kids, a hands-on Nana, an advocate for my LGBTQ loved ones, and a handbell ringer.

I hope to contribute something unique and beautiful to your next craft project.
