Zoom Loom Hooded Cowl Pattern

Make a versatile hooded cowl from 4" Zoom Loom woven squares with no knitting or crochet.

It has a drawstring casing for adjustable fit around the face, and an optional yoke that tucks into a sweater or jacket to keep the cold out.  

This pattern can also be combined with my Zoom Loom Sweater Pattern to make a hooded sweater. 

Supplies & Equipment Needed:

• Zoom Loom with weaving needle & tapestry needle
• 600 yards yarn for hooded cowl including drawstring casing and yoke (worsted, DK, or lighter).

About my Sample

• Any yarn suitable for Zoom loom should work for this hooded cowl, including the worsted-weight yarn that I dye (like this or this) ... I used cozy DK weight merino possum yarn from Louie & Lola in Tasmania, Australia. I can also imagine a lightweight cotton cowl as a fun summer accessory. 
• I used i-cord for the drawstring.
• You may notice that the sample includes mostly a variety of squares with textured weaves. As of publishing this pattern, I don’t yet have a resource for most of these textures (but it is in the works).
