These designs use displaced warp techniques on a 3-layer warp potholder loom setup (similar to Zoom Loom weaving).
The three designs in this set are
- Wonky Gingham
- Gentle Waves
- Diamond Link
The samples shown in the weaving instructions for each variation include 4 warp colors (2 in layer-1 and 2 in layer-3) to help you see what is what the first time, and are also followed by a sampling of color combinations that show how changing loop colors can highlight different parts of the design.

Angela's patterns are all fun, well explained and all around fun to make! I know when I purchase one of her patterns, the instruction is spelled out. She is always available to help too!
I love all of the patterns that I have purchased and the freebies too!! Be sure to check out Angela's loops!! They are exquisite! The colors are amazing, no threads, well stretched and all around beautiful!! I will always come back to Minnesota Platypus!!
I’ve bought other patterns from you during the last two years. I haven’t woven these yet, but all your patterns are innovative and absolutely gorgeous. Your color combinations are inspirational. It always helps me when there’s a video to demonstrate techniques. Some of us are such visual learners. If there’s any way to add a video to the pattern offerings, that would make them even better! (Maybe some sort of purchased demo download from Margie Duffy if they can’t eventually be put on her channel)?
I love these patterns. They are a lot of fun to weave. Looking forward to weaving them in many different color combinations.
I was so happy to get these! The instructions were easy to follow. The potholders turned out absolutely gorgeous, and so much fun to weave. I am a pattern and color freak, so these made an opportunity for much delight. My friend enjoyed weaving the diamond one, too. And after making 8 or nine of them, I still have plans for more. Thank you, Angela!!
